The Park and PGP

The Park

Butterwick Park is situated on the corner of Old Girls School Lane and School Lane in Butterwick. Among its features, the Park includes a Children's Play Area, 2 Kick walls/Basketball Nets either end of an all weather surface, a youth shelter, wooden play equipment, a hill situated at the end of a large flat grass area, benches, car park, gravel paths that wind around the edge of the park and a area at the bottom of the park which has been planted with a number of trees.

The Butterwick WI has also kindly created a garden area on the park that features a variety of different plants and flowers.

Below are two computer generated images, which were created during the planning stages of the project, depicting how the play equipment would possibly look when finished. To the right of those is a map of the park that was also created during the planning stages. All these images can be enlarged by clicking on them.

The PGP

The Park Green Project (PGP) is a charitable organisation who, with the help of many volunteers, created a community area for the people of Butterwick, Lincolnshire, England.

To help raise funds, the Park Green Project held a variety of local events, including Galas, Sponsored Walks, Discos and Race Nights. As well as these, the Park Green Project runs their own lottery, known as the 100+ Club, which helped raise funds during the creation of the park and now helps with the up keep.

For more information about the events, grants and sponsors associated with Butterwick Park, have a look at the other categories in the About the Park section.

For more information about the Park Green Projects own lottery, check out the 100+ Club section.
