Butterwick Gala
The Butterwick Gala was an annual event, held during the planning and creation stages of Butterwick Park, to raise funds to help with its creation and maintenance.
The Gala was a great day out for all the family and featured a wide variety of stalls and events including a BBQ, Penalty Shoot Out, Ski Ball, Bouncy Castle, Tombola, Refreshments, Bar, Raffle, Centre Arena Displays and much much more.
Every Gala held by the Park Green Project was hugely successful and raised massive funds to help with the creation of Butterwick Park. To see just how enjoyable and successful the 2004 gala was take a look at our Photo Gallery.
Sponsored Walk

The Sponsored Walk was an annual event organised by the Park Green Project to raise money
to fund the Community Area for Butterwick.
The walks consisted of two routes that participants could choose from. These routes were a 5 mile or a 2 mile route around the back roads of Butterwick and up to the outskirts of Butterwick/Freiston. A plan of the routes is shown to the left and can be enlarged by clicking on it.
All of the walks held started and ended at the Five Bells pub in Butterwick. The walk was concluded by a BBQ with proceeds going to the Park Green Project.
Race Night
A number of Race Nights have been held by the Park Green Project to help raise funds for the maintenance of Butterwick Park. The Race Nights have been very successful and as well as the horse races, which people can bet on, a BBQ and bar were provided.
Disco
During the creation of Butterwick Park a Christmas Disco was held by the Park Green Project to help raise funds.
