Volunteers lend a hand

The community area is at last being constructed and over the last couple of weeks we have seen the diggers and workmen move in. The power cables have now been buried, allowing for the landscaping to get into full swing. On Friday 14th of January 2005 the hedging which surrounds the field was planted and work on the bridge has begun.

Once the hedge was planted plastic spirals and canes were needed to protect the hedging from the elements. Saturday 15th of January 2005 saw 30+ volunteers turn up at the field to help with this mammoth job. Thanks to the great turn out we managed to get the work done in about 3 hours and to round off the day a BBQ was held on the field for the volunteers.
